These Terms of Service govern the relationship between the Client ("you") and Borderless Translation ("Borderless"), Piazza Bra 28, 37121 Verona, Italy. By placing an order or using our services, you accept these Terms in full.
Borderless provides professional translation, localisation, transcreation, certified translation, subtitle translation, and related linguistic services. All services are delivered digitally unless sworn physical documents are required.
Quotes are based on word count, language pair(s), subject matter, complexity, and deadline. Quotes valid for 14 calendar days. Contract is formed upon successful Stripe payment or written acceptance of an invoice.
Provide complete, final source materials within 3 working days of project start. Supply reference materials, glossaries, and style guides if available. Provide consolidated feedback within 5 working days per review cycle. Confirm legal right to commission translation of provided materials. Designate a single point of contact.
All source materials, translations, and project communications are strictly confidential. NDAs are in place with all linguists and staff. Client-specific NDAs available on request at no charge. Confidentiality obligations survive termination for 5 years.
Translations: Client owns all translated content upon full payment. Translation Memory: TM and glossaries are Client property, delivered on request in standard formats (TMX, TBX). Source Material: Remains Client's IP throughout. Borderless Tools: We retain ownership of proprietary processes, evaluation methods, and quality frameworks.
Included QA rounds specified per plan. Revision requests must be consolidated per round and submitted within 14 days of delivery. Revisions address translation quality — not source text changes. Source text changes after project start quoted separately.
Total liability limited to fees paid for the relevant project. No guaranteed commercial outcomes. For certified translations, Borderless warrants legal validity of the sworn declaration under Italian law.
Either party may terminate with 7 days' written notice. Work completed is invoiced and non-refundable. Work not started is refunded in full. Work in progress settled per Refund Policy.
